A mechanical base in an elevator device has an upper support beam, a linking body, and a hoist supporting body. The upper support beam is provided at the top of the elevator shaft. The linking body is linked to the upper support beam. The hoist supporting body is disposed under the upper support beam and is supported by the upper support beam via the linking body. A hoist, a counterweight return pulley, a first stopper, and a second stopper are supported on the hoist supporting body. A first end of a suspension body is connected to the first stopper. A second end of the suspension body is connected to the second stopper.
