This hygiene management device is provided with: an imaging unit for capturing an image of a user of hygiene facility; an identification unit for recognizing the user on the basis of the image captured by the imaging unit and identifying the user on the basis of the result of recognition; an output unit for selecting one language from a plurality of languages according to the user identified by the identification unit and outputting an explanation in the language to enable the user to ensure a hygiene state by using the hygiene facility; a counting unit for counting the number of times of use of the hygiene facility by the user identified by the identification unit; a storage unit for storing an image showing a recommended way to use the hygiene facility; and a display unit for displaying the image captured by the imaging unit when the user identified by the identification unit uses the hygiene facility, the image showing a recommended way stored in the storage unit, and the number of times counted by the counting unit.
