Provided are a method and apparatus for dynamically configuring a screen transmission timeout period, and a wireless screen transmission device and a receiving end. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the motion state variation of a wireless screen transmission device by means of a built-in motion sensor; and when it is determined that the motion state variation reaches a certain magnitude, triggering a receiving end in wireless connection with the wireless screen transmission device to reduce the timeout period for disconnection. The motion state of the wireless screen transmission device is monitored to learn whether a user has intended to unplug the wireless screen transmission device; and when it is determined that the user has intended to unplug the wireless screen transmission device, a first trigger instruction is sent to the receiving end to enable the receiving end to reduce the timeout period for disconnection, such that, in a scenario where the user has unplugged the wireless screen transmission device, the receiving end can quickly exit from a current display screen.
