A fault indicator device and system, and a power distribution network system. The fault indicator device (M) comprises a fault indicator body and further comprises a traveling wave ranging module, wherein the traveling wave ranging module comprises a collection unit and a processing unit; the collection unit collects fault data when a fault occurs in a circuit and outputs the fault data to the processing unit; the processing unit extracts a fault traveling wave signal according to the received fault data, and then processes the fault traveling wave signal to obtain a first time; and the processing unit further receives a second time sent by a fault indicator device (N) arranged at the other end of the circuit, and obtains, according to the first time and the second time, the distance between a fault point and the fault indicator device (M) through calculation by means of a double-end traveling wave ranging algorithm.
