There are provided measures for integration of serial realtime communication system deployments with mobile communication networks. Such measures exemplarily comprise receiving, from an associated serial realtime communication system entity, a first serial realtime communication system Ethernet frame including data fields of a first data fields type and a second data fields type, extracting, from said first serial realtime communication system Ethernet frame, based on an entity type of said associated serial realtime communication system entity, at least one data field of one data fields type of said first data fields type and said second data fields type, and forwarding, to a transport network entity, said at least one data field of said data fields type.
