The present invention provides a stevia plant body that has less ability to form flower buds compared to a wild type stevia species. Further, the present invention provides: a method for producing the stevia plant body having less ability to form flower buds; and an extract and a purified steviol glycoside product obtained from the aforesaid plant body.
