The purpose of the present invention is to provide a beverage or powdered beverage that contains a breakdown product of the thallus of a plant of the subfamily Lemnoideae and that provides improvement regarding the slimy and/or powdery feel thereof in the mouth; and a method for providing improvement regarding the slimy and/or powdery feel in the mouth of a beverage or powdered beverage containing a breakdown product of the thallus of a plant of the subfamily Lemnoideae. The present invention provides: a beverage or powdered beverage containing a breakdown product of the thallus of a plant of the subfamily Lemnoideae, and an organic acid salt or an organic acid; and a method that is for providing improvement regarding a slimy and/or powdery feel in the mouth, and that is characterized by adding an organic acid salt or an organic acid to a beverage or powdered beverage containing a breakdown product of the thallus of a plant of the subfamily Lemnoideae.
