The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases and a health functional food composition or an anti-inflammatory composition for preventing or alleviating inflammatory diseases by including: beta-1,3-glucan (β-1,3-glucan); and a peptide formed with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID 4. The invention also relates to an antibacterial composition against sepsis-causing bacteria by including: beta-1,3-glucan; peptides formed with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID 4; and antibiotics. Therefore, the composition is effective for preventing, alleviating, or treating inflammatory diseases such as sepsis by lowering the active oxygen of sepsis mice and the level of sepsis-causing bacteria or inflammatory cytokines and significantly increasing a survival rate when including beta-1,3-glucan and peptides formed with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID 4. More specifically, the present invention has excellent effects by specifically reducing active oxygen produced by phagocytes as active oxygen and the expression level and survival rate of sepsis-causing bacteria and inflammatory cytokines significantly increase when used with antibiotics.
