According to the present invention, provided is an effective angle identification-based multi-altitude operating interferometer radar altimeter device. The device comprises: an antenna unit having a plurality of antennas; a transceiver unit connected to the antenna unit and configured to transmit and receive a signal through the plurality of antennas; and a control unit configured to process the transmitted and received signal from the transceiver unit to calculate a target distance and an angle. Meanwhile, the control unit performs multi-altitude operation on the altimeter device to select a target candidate group including the target; estimates a target angle for the target candidate group; selects candidate cells based on the similarity of the estimated angles; and determines whether the target is valid when a corresponding target meeting additional criteria is drawn within the selected candidate cells. Accordingly, the present invention can overcome the disadvantage in which the angular information on natural objects is frequently distorted with the conventional target distance/angle calculation method of the interferometer radar altimeter.
