The present invention relates to a quality management system for manufacturing a distributed control device, which is capable of efficiently managing materials, and a method thereof. More specifically, the quality management system comprises: a production preparation unit processing data of an introduced material for manufacturing a distributed control device as stock; a production processing unit distributing a previously received drawing, issuing a work order, and processing the data as delivery; an assembly explanation guide unit providing assembly explanation which enables a worker to manufacture a distributed control device by assembling and wiring the material for manufacturing the distributed control device based on the drawing; a quality inspection unit performing an operation error inspection for the distributed control device manufactured in accordance with the assembly explanation and setting a serial number to a normally operated distributed control device; and a delivery preparation unit preparing delivery for the distributed control device having a serial number set therein.
