The present invention relates to a synthetic fuel production apparatus with a slurry bubble column reactor operating in two or more modes; and uses thereof. A polygeneration synthetic fuel production apparatus according to the present invention is capable of providing synthetic fuel and other energy sources at the same time wherein the slurry bubble column reactor uses (a) a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis iron based catalyst having a weight ratio of Fe:Cu:K:SiO_2 = 100:1-10:1-20:10-50, or (b) a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis iron based catalyst having the number of iron atoms in a phase fraction of ferrihydrite ranging from 10 to 100%, and the number of iron atoms in a phase fraction of hematite ranging from 0 to 90% with respect to 100% of the number of iron atoms, and the slurry bubble column reactor produces a synthetic fuel containing C_19+ mainly in a first wax amount by operating the slurry bubble column reactor in a low temperature FT mode at 250 to 280°C, and has a larger off-gas discharge amount than the low temperature FT mode while producing a synthetic fuel containing C_19+ in a second wax amount smaller than the first wax amount by operating the slurry bubble column reactor in a high temperature FT mode at 290 to 350°C. A synthetic fuel production apparatus is operated when a slurry bubble column reactor operates in a high-temperature FT mode, wherein the synthetic fuel production apparatus has a combustor, a heat exchanger, a power machine or a generator using high calorific value gas discharged during operation in the high-temperature FT mode. The present invention not only can produce various hydrocarbon products through FT mode conversion, but also can provide heat, power and/or electric power using automobile fuel and high calorific power gas from coal to a coal mining area having poor electricity and petroleum supply infrastructures through conversion into the high temperature FT mode.
