Disclosed are an indoor positioning method using machine learning and a system thereof. According to the present invention, the indoor positioning method comprises: a step of measuring a received signal strength (RSSI) of a plurality of positioning signal transmitter signals for a plurality of areas defined indoor; a data preprocessing step which converts the value except zero (0) from the RSSI measurement data of the entire area into the complement of absolute values; a step of learning by executing a machine learning algorithm by using the preprocessed RSSI data as learning data; and a step of determining the location of a positioning target terminal by inputting the RSSI information of a plurality of positioning signal transmitters measured by the positioning target terminal into an input node of the machine learning algorithm. According to the present invention, after primary data preprocessing to convert the RSSI measurement data measured in each area of the measurement target area to the complement of absolute values and secondary data preprocessing to convert the RSSI value displayed as zero (0) into a predetermined positive value, the preprocessed data can be used as machine learning data, thereby achieving the effect of greatly increasing the accuracy of indoor positioning using machine learning.
