The present invention relates to a research and development (R&D) support apparatus capable of supporting preparation of a strategic investment model in an R&D field by visualizing an analyzed result by performing linkage analysis on technologies, industries, and systems related to the R&D field. According to the present invention, the R&D support apparatus comprises: a confirmation unit for confirming policy system status information for each investment required technology when at least a part of a candidate technology cluster is determined as an investment required technology based on an index value of an evaluation index for each generated candidate technology cluster related to the R&D field; and a display unit for classifying the technical maturity of each investment required technology based on a technology readiness level (TRL) in the R&D field and matching and displaying at least one of the investment required technology and the policy system status information with a pie-map defined for visualization according to the technology maturity.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
