The present invention relates to a mucoadhesive protein-based cell permeable adhesive protein and a drug and gene co-delivery system through nanoparticles using the same. When the cell permeable adhesive protein of the present invention is used, the intracellular permeability of the mussel adhesive protein can be increased to increase intracellular delivery efficiency. The nanoparticles of the present invention can simultaneously load drugs and genes, as well as has increased intracellular permeability, thereby efficiently delivering desired drugs or genes into cells.
