Disclosed in the present invention are a steerable guidewire and a method of manufacturing the steerable guidewire, and a steerable catheter and a method of manufacturing the steerable catheter. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the steerable guidewire configured to be inserted into a catheter and to guide the insertion into a desired blood vessel comprises: a steerable leading portion which can transform to at least two-step bent shapes by an external stimulation so as to be steered in a predetermined direction; and a non-steerable leading portion which is not steerable. The steerable leading portion comprises: a first steerable leading portion having a first length and configured to bend at a first angle with respect to the non-steerable leading portion; and a second steerable leading portion which is connected to the first steerable leading portion at one end thereof, has a second length, and is steerable by bending at a second angle with respect to the non-steerable leading portion. The first steerable leading portion may be located further from the non-steerable leading portion than is the second steerable leading portion. The first length of the first steerable leading portion may be smaller than the sum of the lengths of steerable leading portions other than the first steerable leading portion, and steering can be performed such that the first angle is larger than the second angle.
