Disclosed is a method for treating flue gas to remove hydrogen sulfide from tail gas containing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. The method includes the steps of: supplying ammonia gas to a tail gas treatment process to produce ammonium hydrogen carbonate (solid); thermally decomposing the ammonium hydrogen carbonate (solid) to separate and remove ammonium hydrogen carbonate (liquid); reacting the ammonium hydrogen carbonate (liquid) with sodium chloride to produce sodium hydrogen carbonate (solid) and ammonium chloride; separating the sodium hydrogen carbonate (solid) and the ammonium chloride; reacting the separated ammonium chloride with calcium hydroxide to generate ammonia gas; and supplying the generated ammonia gas as an ammonia gas in the step of producing ammonium hydrogen carbonate by supplying ammonia gas to the tail gas treatment process. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an economical and efficient tail gas treatment method.
