摘要

The present invention relates to a method, a device, and a system for visualizing defect data for a physical object. According to the present invention, an augmented reality (AR) application in a portable computing device plots points corresponding to defect locations on a physical object in a defined coordinate cube. The AR application determines a subset of points corresponding to a visible area of the physical object in an image of the area of the physical object obtained by the portable computing device at the location of the portable computing device among the plotted points, and excludes defect sites that are obscured from the view by a physical object structure of the physical object in the image subset of points. The AR application displays defect data for the subset of points visible in the image in association with the subset of defect locations for the physical object in the image displayed on a display system in the portable computing device.
