The present invention relates to an ink composition for textile printing, and a textile printing method using the same. More particularly, the ink composition includes a pretreating agent including a copolymerized resin and water, and an ink formulation including a pigment, diethylene glycol, 2-pyrrolidone, 2,4,7,9-tetramethyl-5-decyne-4,7-diol. According to the present invention, it is possible to carry out direct pattern printing on cotton textile or cotton blend textile having a non-flat surface and large thickness, and to provide a high resolution and excellent flexibility, touch and air permeability. In addition, it is possible to produce cotton pants, blue jeans, jean jumpers, or the like, printed with various patterns, and thus to create high added value.
