SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION/TRANSLATION SERVICE SYSTEM USING MOTION RECOGNITION APPARATUS AND AVATAR

The present invention relates to a sign language interpretation/translation service system using a motion recognition apparatus and an avatar, in which sign language of a speech-impaired person is interpreted through a glove type sign language recognition apparatus worn by the speech-impaired person and having motion sensors attached thereto or a motion sensor recognizing the sign language expressed by hand shapes of the speech-impaired person to be displayed in a display device as an avatar type and the display device displays an answer of a general person or a civil affair manager to the speech-impaired person through the hands of an avatar, thereby realizing a smooth sing language interpretation/translation service between the speech-impaired person and the general person or the civil affair manager. According to the present invention, the system comprises: a sign language interpretation system, when a bulletin board (homepage) is selected or text is inputted, forming the sign language into an animation to play the avatar; a sign language translation system, when the general person who cannot use the sign language inputs text, displaying the text through the animation of the avatar and converting finger motions of the speech-impaired person into text to display the text; a sign language interpretation/translation server used for increasing the quality of the sign language interpretation and translation systems; a database providing various kinds of data required for sign language interpretation/translation of the sign language interpretation and translation systems; and a motion recognition apparatus worn on the hand of the speech-impaired person and including a plurality of motion sensors embedded therein to recognize the movement of the hand motion, thereby enabling the sign language interpretation system to recognize and interpret the corresponding motion into the text when the speech-impaired person uses the sign language after wearing the motion recognition apparatus.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
