Disclosed is a crisis situation responding method using an artificial intelligence speaker. The crisis situation responding method through scream sound detection using an artificial intelligence speaker comprises the steps of: receiving a sound signal through a microphone; separating a human voice from the sound signal and extracting a frequency component from the voice; determining a crisis situation in accordance with whether a frequency of the voice falls within a predetermined scream frequency range; and responding to the crisis situation in a predetermined method when the result of the determination is a crisis situation.
