The present invention relates to a method for recovering a lithium element from a waste electrode, the method comprising the steps of: separating an electrode active material layer from a waste electrode collector to obtain an electrode active material powder; heat-treating the electrode active material powder; and immersing the electrode active material powder in distilled water and leaching lithium ions.
