To provide a regenerated negative electrode active material which is the powder of lithium titanate having a main component of LiTiOrecovered from a discarded lithium ion battery and which can be reused as a material for a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: A regenerated negative electrode active material for a lithium ion battery recovered from a discarded lithium ion battery is the powder of lithium titanate having a main component of LiTiO.
