The present invention relates to a sensor which reacts with nitro group reductase, and to a disease detection method using the same, wherein the sensor comprises a compound represented by chemical formula (1). The sensor for detection which reacts with the nitro group reductase expressed in ex vivo or in vivo is used in treatment of diseases such as cancer characterized by hypoxia. In addition, the present can be usefully used as a probe for detecting nitro group reductase required to visualize diagnostic and therapeutic actions.
