The present invention relates to a machine vision-based printing error detection system capable of scanning a printed material through machine vision and detecting a printing error by comparing the scanned material to its original version. More specifically, the machine vision-based printing error detection system includes: a machine vision part creating a scan image about a printed material printed through a printing process; and a printing error detection part dividing difference images between the created scan image and its original image into a preset number of unit cells, and then, comparing each divided unit cell of the scan image to a corresponding unit cell of the original image to determine the cell as a printing error cell if the color matching rate is lower than a reference value.
