The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing cerium-doped gallium oxide nanofibers, including the steps of: dispersing gallium chloride and a polymer in a solvent to obtain a gallium oxide precursor solution; adding cerium chloride to the gallium oxide precursor solution, followed by mixing, to form a cerium-doped gallium oxide precursor sol; electrospinning the cerium-doped gallium oxide precursor sol to form cerium-doped gallium oxide nanofibers; and heat treating the cerium-doped gallium oxide nanofibers to remove the solvent and polymer. The cerium-doped gallium oxide nanofibers obtained by the method form a three-dimensional network to provide a high specific surface area and porosity, have improved photocatalytic activity through the doping with cerium, and thus can be applied to photocatalysts having excellent degradability and sensors and electrochemical devices having rapid response characteristics and high sensitivity.
