The present invention relates to a system for building a virtual indoor environment according to a user request and a method thereof. More specifically, the system comprises: a chamber provided with an accessible entrance to form an enclosed space of a certain size; a seat part provided inside the chamber for a user to sit or lie down; a destination selection part providing a menu of various destinations which can be set by a user input or operation to allow the user to select the user′s target destination, and provided with a signal generator emitting a selected destination signal; a main server having the Internet environment built to extract weather and climate-related environmental information of a destination requested by the user from its own database based on the destination signal transmitted from the destination selection part or obtain necessary information by doing real-time automatic search through the Internet; a display part displaying, for the user, environmental information for weather and climate of the user request destination extracted from the main server; and an environmental control part provided with at least one environmental device to construct the environmental information of the user request destination transmitted from the main server and displayed on the display part in the chamber.
