SSD SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ACCELERATED DATA PROCESSING IN SSDs

Provided are a system and a method for accelerated data processing on SSDs, capable of combining advantages of a CPU, such as flexibility and ease of development, with advantages of hardware, such as performance and power, on the SSDs. The system for the accelerated data processing on the SSDs includes the following steps of: receiving, by an acceleration platform manager (APM), application function processing information from an application service manager (ASM); allocating, by the APM, a first storage processing accelerator (SPA) from a plurality of SPAs, in which at least one SPA among the SPAs includes a plurality of programmable processors or storage processing engines (SPEs), and the SPEs includes n SPEs (where n is a natural number greater than 0); enabling the SPEs in the first SPA, in which when the SPEs are enabled once, at least one SPE is configured to process data based on the application function processing information; determining, by the APM, whether the data processing is completed by the at least one SPE among the SPEs in the first SPA; and transmitting a result of the data processing by the SPEs of the first SPA to the ASM.
