The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for predicting a deformation temperature of coal by using a predictive model, capable of deriving the predictive model by modeling the deformation temperature for characteristics of the coal, and substituting the characteristics of the coal into the predictive model so as to predict the deformation temperature of the coal without a separate test. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for predicting the deformation temperature of the coal by using the predictive model includes: an extraction unit configured to analyze characteristics of test coal to extract a plurality of parameters of the test coal based on an analysis resu a temperature analysis unit configured to analyze a deformation temperature of the test coal; a model deriving unit configured to derive a deformation temperature predictive model by using the extracted parameters and the deformation temperature of the test coal; and a prediction unit configured to predict a deformation temperature of target coal by substituting a plurality of parameters for characteristics of the target coal into the deformation temperature predictive model.
