Exemplary inventions include a system for reducing enuresis and a method for reducing enuresis. The system includes a patch coupled to the user's ankle to apply external electrical stimulation, a bladder monitoring device configured to determine a user's bladder state, and a sleep detection device. The method also includes determining that the user is sleeping, determining that the user has a desire to urinate, and applying external electrical stimulation to the tibial nerve of the user.
