The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a nickel sulfate solution that can be used as a raw material for preparing a precursor for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode active material using a nickel briquette. The present invention may include (a) dissolving a nickel briquette using sulfuric acid and (b) selectively hydrolyzing the solution obtained in step (a) to separate and remove iron ions, which are metallic impurities.
