Use of FcRn antagonists for the treatment of systemic myasthenia gravis

A method of treating generalized myasthenia gravis in a subject is provided. These methods generally include administering to the individual an effective amount of an isolated FcRn antagonist. In some embodiments, the FnRn antagonist binds FcRn with increased affinity and decreased pH dependence compared to the native Fc region.
