Disclosed is an apparatus for processing user authentication using a captcha containing an advertisement word and a method of operating the same. The present invention relates to a technique in which, in a user authentication method using a random captcha, a predetermined advertisement word is included in the captcha so that an advertisement effect can appear in the user authentication process.
