Signal integrity diagnostic routine for communication channels

Systems, methods and devices as well as related systems, methods and devices for diagnosing signal integrity of a communication channel are disclosed. The method includes receiving an input signal from a transmission line of a communication channel, and performing an autogain function on the input signal to produce a regulated output signal having a predetermined voltage amplitude. The method also includes adding a disturbing signal to the conditioned output signal to generate a sum output. The method also includes digitizing the summation output, and analyzing the digitized summation output to determine an error level.
