LACING ARCHITECTURE FOR AUTOMATED FOOTWEAR PLATFORM

Systems and devices related to footwear comprising a modular racing engine are described. In this example, the footwear assembly may include a footwear upper and lace cables extending through a plurality of lace guides. A plurality of race guides may be distributed along the inner side and the outer side, and each race guide of the plurality of race guides may be configured to accommodate the length of the race cable. The lace cable may extend through each of the plurality of lace guides to form a pattern along each inner side and outer side side of the footwear upper. The footwear assembly may also include an inner proximal lace guide that routes the lace cable to a lacing engine disposed within the midsole portion. Finally, the footwear assembly includes an outer proximal lace guide for routing the lace cable out of the lacing engine.
