The present invention relates to a method for analyzing the methylation level at a specific CpG site in genomic DNA in order to provide information necessary for the diagnosis of thyroid cancer or the prognosis of thyroid cancer, and a composition for diagnosis of thyroid cancer or for determining the prognosis of thyroid cancer. According to the present invention, thyroid cancer can be easily and accurately diagnosed from a biological sample at low cost.
