Disclosed are a payment service apparatus for providing product information about an offline affiliated store based on location information and supporting payment processing based on virtual currency, and an operating method thereof. The present invention selects offline affiliated stores located within a predetermined distance based on current location information of a user terminal, then selects an affiliated store which transmits a beacon signal having the maximum intensity among beacon signals transmitted by beacons provided at the selected affiliated stores, transmits product information about products being sold in the affiliated stores to the user terminal, and completes transfer processing from an electronic wallet account of the user to an electronic wallet account of the affiliated store with respect to the amount of virtual currency of the any one product when information about the amount of virtual currency of the any one product is received together with a payment request for the any one product from the user terminal, thereby supporting the user to conveniently purchase products in an offline store.
