The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a signal using a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system-based ensemble machine learning and a method thereof. According to the present invention, a method for detecting a signal using a MIMO system-based ensemble machine learning comprises the steps of: training a plurality of independent signal detection models by using a plurality of pieces of learning data, which uses, as an input value, N_r reception signals received by a receiver with N_r reception antennas corresponding to N_t training signals transmitted from a transmitter with N_t transmission antennas, and a channel coefficient between the transmitter and the receiver and uses, as an output value, a label corresponding to a combination of the N_t training signals; estimating the channel coefficient from the N_r reception signals of the receiver received corresponding to the N_t transmission signals transmitted from the transmitter and inputting the N_r reception signals and the estimated channel coefficient to the signal detection models; and predicting the N_t transmission signals transmitted from the transmitter based on the label outputted from the signal detection models. Accordingly, when a reception signal is detected from a receiver in a MIMO system, a plurality of machine learning-based MIMO signal detectors are used, thereby acquiring diversity yield of the reception signal and increasing error prevention performance of the receiver in comparison with an existing MIMO detection technique.
