The present invention relates to a partial discharge detection system using an optical fiber ultrasonic sensor of a high voltage power system, which comprises: an ultrasonic optical fiber sensor which detects a partial discharge such as corona discharge generated from a power facility including a power element supplying power to a load, and outputs a first partial discharge detection signal; a partial discharge sensor which senses light emitted by the partial discharge and outputs a second partial discharge detection signal; and a detection unit which generates a control signal for turning off the circuit breaker to block a current flow when it is determined that the partial discharge occurs from the partial discharge detection signal, when the partial discharge detection signal is applied from the ultrasonic fiber optical sensor and the partial discharge sensor. Particularly, in a process of supplying power to the load in a high-voltage switchboard, the partial discharge caused by electrical discharge is detected by the optical ultrasonic sensor, so that a power supply switch can be quickly cut off, thereby preventing explosion due to the partial discharge. The partial discharge and overcurrent are sequentially detected together with the corona discharge detection such that the reliability of the partial discharge detection system can be increased, thereby minimizing damage caused by malfunction of the power supply switch.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
