Apparatus and methods for disposing of nuclear waste and other hazardous wastes include mixing radioactive waste or hazardous waste (or both) with liquids and, optionally, solid materials to provide high density fluids, and mixing the high density fluids with injection holes. Means and steps for pumping the tube string. The high density fluid then exits into the perforation in the casing of the injection hole and enters a crack in the rock crust that continues to diffuse downward until reaching a fixed point. The high density fluid may be a slurry formed by polymer gel or hydrated clay slurry crosslinked with a metal. The metal may have a melting point lower than a temperature at the bottom of the injection hole. The solid material may also be other nuclear waste or radionuclide.
