Selective high frequency spinal cord modulation, and related systems and methods, are described for suppressing pain while side effects are reduced. In certain embodiments, high frequency adjustment in the range of about 1.5 KHz to about 50 KHz can be applied to the spinal cord region of the patient to address back pain without creating unwanted sensory and / or motor side effects. In other embodiments, adjustments according to similar parameters may be applied to other spine or peripheral positions to address other indications.
