Disclosed are a height-adjustable metal detector based on electromagnetic induction and a metal detecting method. The metal detector based on electromagnetic induction includes: a conveyor belt installed to transfer an object to be inspected; a strong magnetic end installed to magnetize metal foreign substances in the object to be inspected; an electromagnetic sensor end sensing an induction electromotive force signal generated by a faradays law by changing magnetic flux density as the metal foreign substances magnetized by the strong magnetic end pass through the electromagnetic sensor end; and a control unit amplifying the induction electromotive force signal and determining whether the metal foreign substances exist in the object to be inspected. Therefore, the height-adjustable metal detector based on electromagnetic induction can improve a detection force of the foreign substances and can obtain stability of drinking and intake in a produced product including a confection, a beverage, and other food. Also, the height-adjustable metal detector based on electromagnetic induction can detect the metal foreign substances based on the electromagnetic induction using a coil and a strong magnet and enables a wide supply at low production costs. Moreover, the height-adjustable metal detector based on electromagnetic induction can improve detection performance of the metal foreign substances by arranging the strong magnet by considering the height of the object to be inspected such as a packing material containing the metal foreign substances. Also, the height-adjustable metal detector based on electromagnetic induction can improve detection performance of the metal foreign substances by blocking noise by vibration generated in a conveyor belt transferring the object to be inspected.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
