The present invention relates to a fiber filtration type pollution reduction device with improved backwashing efficiency. The present invention includes: a pretreatment unit which pretreats fluid introduced from the outside; a filtration unit which is provided with fiber filter media and filters contaminants included in fluid as the fluid pretreated in the pretreatment unit passes through; a washing unit which washes the filtration unit; a link unit which is installed in the filtration unit and relaxes the fiber filter media by applying an external force to the upper and lower sides of the fiber filter media when washing the filtration unit; and a sensing unit which is installed in the pretreatment unit and includes a measurement module of measuring the amount of suspended matter in the fluid and a calculation module of receiving information about the amount of suspended matter from the measurement module and predicting BOD values by calculating based on the amount of suspended matter. The measurement module includes a main body forming an inflow space into which fluid flows, a sensor installed in the main body to measure the amount of suspended matter in the fluid by irradiating infrared rays into the inflow space, and a removal module removing foreign matter flowing into the inflow space. The main body has a gyro sensor unit to detect the displacement of the main body and an actuator unit to compensate the value of displacement positionally to the sensor. The removal module includes a blade provided to rotate and move up and down to remove foreign substances introduced into the inflow space and a motor providing rotational force for the blade. The thickness of the fiber filter media is reduced depending on a direction where fluid passes through.
