The present invention relates to a system for preventing the discharge of a battery in a vehicle and a method for preventing the discharge of a battery in a vehicle by using the same. Also, according to the present invention, the system for preventing the discharge of a battery in a vehicle includes: a battery monitoring unit monitoring reduction of a battery charging rate, caused by an external factor including a climate condition and loads in a vehicle while the vehicle is parked; a dark current control unit blocking the loads of the vehicle for each predetermined load group whenever a predetermined time passes after the vehicle is turned off as the vehicle is parked; and a battery charging control unit charging the battery by driving an alternator installed in the vehicle when the predetermined time passes after the vehicle is turned off and when the monitored battery charging rate is equal to or less than a predetermined mode setting value. Therefore, the system for preventing the discharge of a battery in a vehicle can prevent the discharge of the battery installed in the vehicle even if the vehicle is parked for a long period of time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
