The present invention relates to a fluorescent probe for detecting NAD(P)H in mitochondria and a detecting method using the same. The probe of the present invention shows high selectivity and sensitivity to NAD(P)H, and emits strong red fluorescence in the presence of the NAD(P)H. Thus, the probe shows a predominant accumulation in the mitochondria of living cells, can be used to detect and quantify the NAD(P)H in the mitochondria, can provide a selective image of the mitochondria in real time, and can be useful for revealing biological pathway research and pathological diagnosis. In addition, it can also be used to differentiate cancer cells from normal cells based on the mapping of NAD(P)H dependent fluorescence intensity in the mitochondria.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
