Provided is a steering gear for ships having a rudder angle transmitter. According to the present invention, the rudder angle transmitter comprises an installation pin installed to protrude from a ram pin, a wire having one end connected to the installation pin, a case body fixed to a ram cylinder and providing an installation space, a winding wheel installed inside the case body and around which the other end of the wire is wound, a rotational shaft axially coupled to the winding wheel while disposed inside the case body and forcibly rotated by rotation of the winding wheel, and an encoder disposed inside the case body and reading a steering angle based on the amount of rotation of the rotating shaft. The rudder angle transmitter makes it possible to accurately measure the steering angle changed by operation of the steering gear, and the installation thereof can be easily performed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
