A vehicle location recognition system using a lane endpoint detection algorithm is installed in the vehicle, a GPS receiver receiving a GPS signal, a digital map receiving unit receiving a digital map corresponding to the current vehicle location based on the GPS signal, A camera for photographing the front or rear of the vehicle, a lane endpoint detection unit for detecting the end point of the lane using the lane end point detection algorithm from the image photographed by the camera, and the end point of the detected lane and the digital map. And a processor that measures the position of the vehicle by matching the end points of the stored lanes.
