The present invention contains a cresol novolac-type polyfunctional epoxy resin (A), a liquid epoxy resin (B) having a fluorene skeleton in the main chain, and a photoacid generator (C), and further comprising (A) and (B). The mixed weight ratio [(A) / (B)] is a photosensitive epoxy resin composition having (A) / (B) = 40/60 to 60/40. For this reason, when the core layer is formed using the photosensitive epoxy resin composition of the present invention as a material for forming an optical waveguide, especially as a core layer forming material for an optical waveguide, the coating process and roll-to-roll are not changed without changing the conventional manufacturing process. With the (roll-to-roll) process, it is possible to form a core layer of an optical waveguide having low loss and excellent downflow property.
