Methods, devices, and medicaments comprising tropium are topically introduced into the bladder to achieve a constant concentration of tropium in the urine in the bladder such that it is sufficient to produce a therapeutic concentration of tropium in the bladder tissue. It is provided for use in the treatment of bladder dysfunction by administering as an agent. The drug can be delivered into the bladder from an intra-bladder drug delivery device inserted into the bladder, where the device continuously releases the drug into the urine in the bladder over an extended period of hours or days.
