The utility model relates to electrical engineering and magnetohydrodynamics, namely, magnetohydrodynamic pumps used for pumping liquid metals and alloys. The technical result consists in increasing the efficiency and reliability of the pump by reducing its energy consumption, increasing the pressure and flow rate of the pumped liquid molten metal, while increasing its strength, reliability and durability of operation. The magnetic circuit of the inductor of a cylindrical linear induction pump contains a cylindrical pump body, inductors linearly located along the surface of the pump body with inductor magnetic cores and inductance coils and a core coaxially located inside the body to form an annular working channel with core magnetic circuits located inside it. It is made in the form of a set of W-shaped, parallel to each other, charge plates made of electrical steel of variable height and side W-shaped protective plates made of non-magnetic steel with high resistivity, for example, of austenitic class. Moreover, the height of the W-shaped charge plates and side W-shaped protective plates is selected so that the internal cross-sectional profile of the sets of W-shaped charge plates and side W-shaped protective plates is an approximated circular arc, concentric and proportional to the outer surface of the pump housing.
