Electromagnetic processes in the channel of a flat linear induction pump with bars placed between inductors are analyzed. The influence of inductors' magnetic field on the coefficient of pressure head weakening k_(oc) in the molten metal zone is discussed. Primary attention is focused on the possibility to increase the coefficient of pressure head weakening k_(oc) more than unity.
